Endangered Species Chocolate “’greens” its business INDIANAPOLIS – Endangered Species Chocolate is always looking for ways to be kinder to the planet. And now the eco-friendly chocolate company has found yet another way to be green: Walgreen’s. The pharmacy chain will begin stocking three Endangered Species Chocolate selections in 6,200 stores nationwide in September and October. The order from Walgreen’s is the first order of Endangered Species Chocolate’s new package design. In addition to creating space on retail shelves, the move to vertical also brings Endangered Species Chocolate closer to its mission of conservation. The redesign of the wrapper reduces paper waste during the production process from 6% to 1%. Each flavor of milk and dark chocolate bars also feature new photography of an at-risk species, focusing on the eyes of some of the world’s most beloved creatures.
