Endangered Species Chocolate celebrates new web site with chocolate bar naming contest

Indianapolis, IN- No person would ever wish for a new endangered species, unless it were in the form of chocolate! Endangered Species Chocolate announces the launch of a new web site along with a contest to select the next species to be pictured on a chocolate bar wrapper.

The new web site incorporates the same delicious chocolate and great mission with a new design and expanded shopping cart functionality. Among the many new features are the ability to ship to multiple addresses, an option to create a wish list, the new Chocolate of the Month Club and a contest to "help us choose the newest face of Endangered Species Chocolate."

The contest gives chocolate-lovers an opportunity to submit ideas for a new species to be showcased on the next chocolate bar wrapper. For one week, consumers may visit www.chocolatebar.com to enter up to three of their favorite species facing possible extinction.

Endangered Species Chocolate uses all-natural and organic chocolate as a medium to spread awareness about endangered species and support conservation-minded organizations. The company selects animals, plants and insects from the growing list of endangered or threatened species to represent their different chocolate bar flavors. The outside of each chocolate bar wrapper includes artwork of the species alongside the give back statement - 10% of net profits are donated to help support species, habitat and humanity - while the inside has information about the plight of the species and conservation tips.

Up to five new organic milk and dark chocolate bar flavor profiles are currently being researched and developed by Endangered Species Chocolate. The new chocolate bars will be announced once they are complete with artwork of a species that is endangered or at-risk of endangerment. A good source for species that fit this criteria is the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, which can be found at www.iucnredlist.org.

The contest to suggest the next endangered species ends July 20, 2007. Submissions including the selected species will be entered to win a Habitat Collection gift box from www.chocolatebar.com.
