Endangered Species Chocolate evolves to vertical INDIANAPOLIS – Much like the chimpanzee-to-human imagery of the theory of evolution, Endangered Species Chocolate bars have gained new height on the shelf. The company introduces a new look to represent its 15-year-strong commitment to the planet. The new vertical orientation of the all-natural milk and dark chocolate bars follows the recent launch of five vertical organic chocolate bars. In addition to creating space on retail shelves, the move to vertical also brings Endangered Species Chocolate closer to its mission of conservation. The redesign of the wrapper reduces paper waste during the production process from 6% to 1%. Each flavor of milk and dark chocolate bar features new photography of an at-risk species, focusing on the eyes of some of the world’s most beloved creatures. Among the staff favorites is a photo of Tracy on the 72% cocoa content supreme dark chocolate chimp bar. Tracy is the one-year-old chimpanzee at Chimp Haven, one of Endangered Species Chocolate’s 2008 10% Give Back partners. The new vertical bars with photography will first appear in October in Walgreen’s stores nationwide. The bars are available for distributor and retail order in November. Suggested retail price will remain $2.79. # # # About Endangered Species Chocolate For more information, please visit www.chocolatebar.com. |
